Physiotherapists are primary health care professionals who use evidence-based information to help patients live a healthier lifestyle. They combine their in-depth knowledge of the body and how it works with specialized hands-on clinical skills to assess, diagnose and treat symptoms of illness, injury or disability. Treatments can include manual therapy, rehabilitative exercise, education, functional dry needling, taping, traction, shockwave, and more.

Robin’s passion for physical activity and movement began at a young age when she started playing soccer at just 5 years old. As she continued her movement journey into adulthood, Robin developed a passion for additional sports, such as mountain biking and skiing. Robin later ventured into the coaching world, where she worked with the Chilliwack youth soccer association. Here, Robin promoted physical activity as something that should be enjoyable – regardless of one’s physical capabilities. This motivated Robin to apply to the University of the Fraser Valley, where she received her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree in 2018.

After graduating with her B.Kin, Robin worked as a Kinesiologist for 2 years. She was exposed to a wide variety of clientele, such as WorkSafe BC, ICBC, Veterans of Canada, and more. Robin also worked with a Deafblind child as a support worker during this time. Robin enjoyed these experiences so much that she yearned for a way to give even more back to her clients. She applied to UBC’s Master of Physical Therapy Program in 2021 and graduated in 2023!

Robin’s favourite thing about her clinical placements were the connections she made with her clients. She enjoys learning about each client’s unique life experiences and strives to work collaboratively to make movement something that is meaningful to every individual she meets. Robin can currently prescribe therapeutic exercise, perform manual therapy, offer taping, provide education, and perform soft tissue techniques. She looks forward to further giving back to her community by taking continuing education courses throughout her career.

When Robin isn’t at work, you can find her on the mountain or the soccer field. She is determined to never stop learning; whether that’s in her sport or through bettering her practice. Robin’s exuberant personality and ability to collaborate with others is her strength, and she looks forward to empowering her clients during their recovery.

Jon is excited to join Remmert Hinlopen, friend and physio colleague of 13 plus years. He first joined Remmert after graduating with his master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta in 2006 at what was then Fraser Valley Physiotherapy. Since then Jon has gone on to take many courses in manual therapy. He received a post-graduate Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2011. Jon is also certified in Gunn IMS.

With 13 years of physiotherapy experience and 4 years as a kinesiologist prior to that Jon loves to work with clients using a combination of manual therapy, education, and effective exercise programs. When he isn’t working, he can often be found on the sidelines coaching his son’s football team, hiking up one of the many local mountains with his family (or skiing in the winter) or participating in long-distance road and mountain biking events. Jon is also excited to be working in Hope 2 days a week. Often it is difficult for people to drive to see their healthcare professional, so Jon is committed to serving the great people of Hope in their own community so they don’t have to drive to Chilliwack.

FusionPhysio brings together the best of all worlds for him – local family ownership, longstanding community involvement and relationships that are based on trust, a focus on doing things better through excellence, innovation, practicality, and the experience to know what people really need from their local healthcare providers
